April 6th, 2018, Ghent — Awingu today announces adding Mr. Luca Marinelli to its Advisory Board. Luca is a well-known veteran in the IT scene with leadership roles at Citrix, Microsoft, and Cisco. Awingu is excited about this latest addition to its advisory board. “With Luca, we add somebody with market insight, knowledge and experience. He will help us refine our competitive positioning in the “Unified Workspace” market and its go-to-market model” says Walter Van Uytven, CEO Awingu.

For the last five years, Marinelli was Citrix Vice President Partner EMEA, with responsibility for all aspects of Citrix Partner sales, programs, strategy, including Solution Partners, Value Added Distributors, Service Providers, Systems Integrators, Strategic Alliances and Partners Operations.
In his role, Marinelli addressed some of Citrix key priorities in EMEA, such as tightening the company’s relations with distribution partners, taking Citrix key SI partnerships to a more strategic level, driving Citrix Service Providers business, and developing the growing partnership with our technological partners, especially Cisco and Microsoft.
In Citrix, Marinelli covered also the position of VP Field Marketing EMEA, being responsible for all the activities and process to promote and generate demand on Citrix solutions across market segments, such as Account Based Marketing, Digital Marketing, Events, Partner Marketing and SDF/COOP investments.
Prior to that, Marinelli was in Microsoft, where had the role of Senior Director Enterprise Major & Global Accounts and before was Director of SMB & Partners Division. Before joining Microsoft, Marinelli worked for 10 years at Cisco where he held several positions such as Managing Director Channel EMEA and Channel Director Italy. He also worked at Oracle and NCR/AT&T, driving ISV Channel and Accounting Enterprise Customers.”
