ZTEsoft and Indra will jointly offer services and solutions to promote the digital transformation of the industry, with a particular focus on telecommunications operators.
The agreement contemplates the marketing, implementation and integration of ZSmart, the advanced suite of solutions developed by ZTEsoft to provide CSPs (communications service providers) with flexible and stable BSS/OSS systems to help them address the challenges of the digital age. The solutions are specifically designed to enhance three key areas: the customer’s innovation and profitability, the user experience, and the efficiency of operations and maintenance.
For its part, Indra will contribute its wide sales network, comprising a local presence in 46 countries, and its vast experience in service provision and systems integration for telecommunications operators. The consulting and technology company will also draw on the capabilities of Minsait, its business unit specifically focused on meeting the challenges which the digital transformation poses for companies and institutions.
Zhou Yong, CEO-International of ZTEsoft, said: “Indra is a global company and a leading technology partner in a range of markets, including Defense and Security, Transport and Traffic, Energy and Industry, Telecom and Media, Financial Services, and Public Administration and Healthcare. Through our alliance, ZTEsoft will be able to make a successful contribution to the transformation of our customers’ IT environment and help them grow their business.”
Cristina Ruiz, IT General Manager at Indra, stated: “Our alliance with ZTEsoft is an important step forward in expanding our Digital IT portfolio and will help to complement the IoT Minsait capabilities, our digital transformation unit, in multiple sectors with the help of one single partner that provides a wide range of robust solutions beyond its Telecom offering.” Meanwhile, Cástor Garcia Villoria, Global Telecom & Media Director at Indra, pointed out that “the R&D&I capabilities of the ZTEsoft suite of BSS/OSS products offer global benefits for telecommunications operators. The association of the two companies will enable our customers to accelerate their journey of transformation to a benchmark IT architecture in the sector.”
End to End
The collaboration between the two companies will provide the telecommunications industry with “end-to-end” transformation services and solutions, all with the necessary flexibility to address the demands of digital transformation. It will also encourage the development of innovative business models, profitable operations, and cutting-edge technologies and architectures.
Additionally, it is hoped that this strategic alliance will become a key motor of growth for both companies, enabling them to extend their services and solutions to other strategic markets—for instance, Smart Cities—since one of the goals pursued by the agreement is to maximize synergies with a view to developing proprietary innovative models and solutions, as the ones already deployed by Minsait, with its solutions and products, for several reference customers in different geographies and sectors as Smart Cities, Smart Efficiency or Smart Health.
The alliance between Indra and ZTEsoft is a manifestation of the sea change that is taking place within the telecommunications sector. This new scenario demands the transformation of processes and systems to provide agility and response times more in line with the needs of the market and, ultimately, to develop new business models geared to generating alternative sources of revenue.
