Hewlett Packard Enterprise have unveiled a range of new security solutions designed to offer enterprises a smart way to secure their digital transformation through analytics, app and data security.
At their annual security conference HPE Protect, the company debuted the new offerings that the combine power and flexibility with ease-of-use, helping organizations innovate and intuitively build security in to protect, detect, and respond to the evolving threat landscape.
“Digital transformations are increasing productivity, but also introducing new vulnerabilities and threats that require more streamlined and powerful security measures to protect what matters most,” said Sue Barsamian, senior vice president and general manager, Security, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
“With new innovations, we are helping customers build a comprehensive and intuitive approach to security leveraging the power of big data, machine learning, and automation to proactively address risk to the enterprise.”

ArcSight Data Platform 2.0
The latest HPE State of Security Operations report found that 85% of security operations centers are not meeting desired business goals, highlighting the need for a more intelligent approach to security.
To help combat this, HPE has massively bolstered threat detection power in ArcSight Data Platform 2.0, which now boasts 50% faster search, real-time correlation and can monitor 1 million events per second, all powered by HPE’s machine learning technology.
It is the industry’s first open architecture that seamlessly connects to any third party application, empowering organizations with the flexibility to choose how they store, search and analyze data.
“Security analysts need to widen their view into data systems in order to find threats at the scale and speed required in today’s landscape,” said Tom Powledge, vice president and general manager, HPE Security ArcSight, Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “With HPE ADP 2.0, we’re giving customers the open architecture and scalability they need to be effective in stopping threats.”
The HPE ArcSight Management Console provides one centralized view for end-to-end monitoring and simplified processing of bulk operations. The HPE ArcSight Data Platform 2.0 will be available globally on October 5th. Get more information on HPE Security ArcSight solutions.
HPE Fortify Ecosystem with improved third party integration
The theme of integrated security continued with the announcement of new HPE application security and data security innovations. The HPE Fortify Ecosystem and Fortify on Demand continuous application monitoring service help organizations create secure applications that seamlessly integrate security testing processes and resources into the fast-paced software development lifecycle.
Traditionally, organizations test applications after development or while in production, which has become increasingly challenging with the rapid pace of today’s development and deployment cycles. The HPE Fortify Ecosystem features integrated systems spanning 10 distinct DevOps functional categories including Cloud, Containers, and Open Source, as well as more than 20 partners including Microsoft, Docker and Chef, allowing organizations to intuitively test and secure applications during development.
“Application developers are being tasked with working at unprecedented speeds to deliver software in days and weeks instead of months, leaving little time to implement appropriate security measures,” said Jason Schmit, vice president and general manager, HPE Security Fortify, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
“Securing the software development lifecycle in today’s environment requires an automated, continuous, and natural process. The new HPE Fortify Ecosystem and Fortify on Demand continuous application monitoring service ensure the approach to application security is intuitive, comprehensive, and seamless to integrate, helping organizations save time and reduce costs.”
With the HPE Fortify Ecosystem and FoD continuous application monitoring, organizations can now secure their applications before, during, and after they are brought to market.

HPE Secure Data
According to IDC, “vendor products that integrate or interoperate with other security solutions will have an advantage in the years to come as organizations seek ways to create a cohesive security infrastructure.”
With that in mind Hewlett Packard Enterprise have announced the integration of HPE SecureData with HPE Atalla Hardware Security Module, offering customers a cohesive end-to-end data security approach to protect a businesses most sensitive digital assets. HPE is currently the security provider of choice for many of the world’s largest merchants and retailers, 7 of the 9 top U.S. payment processors, 8 of the 10 top U.S. banks and thousands of mid-sized businesses including healthcare organizations, regional banks and insurance providers including transportation, retail, insurance, high tech, healthcare, telecom & public sector
“Organizations are trying to manage risk against an ever-changing threat landscape, but it’s becoming increasingly difficult when faced with more complex infrastructures and countless solution sets available in the market,” said Albert Biketi, vice president and general manager, HPE Security – Data Security, Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
“HPE provides an integrated, comprehensive data security approach that enables customers to streamline the deployment of their risk management strategy, hardening their hardware and software layers to protect their organizations’ most sensitive data end-to-end.”
This integration offers organizations physical and logical data protection, FIPS validated hardware solution for storing and managing keys, and centralized configuration and security policy enforcement, making it simpler for customers to manage data protection with a single vendor contact.
SecureData offers a comprehensive NIST standardized method of protecting data over its entire lifecycle via next-generation Hyper Format-Preserving Encryption and Hyper Secure Stateless Tokenization technologies. HPE Atalla HSM, a PCI HSM certified and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated appliance, enables high-performance cryptography and key management within secure hardware root of trust, functions that streamline and simplify the challenges of enterprise protection.
The integration between HPE SecureData and HPE Atalla HSM provides customers with a cohesive end-to-end data security approach to protect their most sensitive data. These solutions deliver a comprehensive data security approach that pairs Hyper Format-Preserving Encryption (FPE) and Hyper Secure Stateless Tokenization (SST) technologies with cryptography and key management.
The HPE SecureData and HPE Atalla HSM integrated solution will be available globally on September 21, 2016.
