OCSL complete successful bid to maintain certified G Cloud supplier status
22 May 2017 – OCSL today announced it has once again succeeded in bidding for inclusion as a G Cloud 9 supplier. OCSL’s Cloud Hosting & Cloud Support services have been awarded a place on the new G Cloud 9 Framework. Designed to streamline IT procurement in the Public Sector, organisations can now buy OCSL’s cloud services via the redesigned Digital Marketplace portal.
Martin Hess, OCSL’s Chairman commented:
We welcome the launch of the new G Cloud 9 Framework. Our Public Sector clients can now procure Cloud & IT services in an even more streamlined way. The extended call-off period is also good news. Framework contracts can last longer than two years for the first time; something many of our clients have been asking us for.
He continued “The expansion of categories on the Digital Marketplace portal is a step forward. We believe, it will help public sector buyers find the services they need more easily”.
OCSL has a large existing public sector client base. This includes NHS organisations who take advantage of OCSL’s N3 status, local & regional government, schools & colleges and Housing Associations. OCSL’s services in the Digital Marketplace, have been designed to address common concerns about security and risk in the Public Cloud.
For example, Cloud Route is OCSL’s own highly secure high bandwidth, low latency, and layer 3 connectivity to Public Cloud providers. Similarly, OCSL’s Azure Fast Start is a service that helps organisations get started, quickly in Azure with automated best-practice deployment. Both help public sector organisations minimise risk in the Public Cloud.
Hess concludes, “As the recent Cyber attacks demonstrated, keeping networks safe on premises or in the Cloud, is of paramount importance. We look forward to helping our clients in the Public Sector improve both their agility and their security as a G Cloud 9 supplier.”
OCSL’s Security Operations Centre services have SIEM (Security Information and Event Management), real-time analytics and advanced layer 7 inspection services. Partnerships with leading Intrusion, Detection & Prevention services, help protect OCSL’s clients proactively, rather than reactively, against next-generation security threats.
OCSL’s own UK data centre holds Government OFFICIAL Status and UK Data Sovereignty is guaranteed. With N3 (NHS National Network) aggregator status we provide the highly secure connections to the Cloud needed by public sector health organisations.
