Customer success & the Salesforce partner ecosystem

Salesforce World Tour roared into London’s ExCel last week, bringing with it 15,000 registered attendees and firmly cementing it’s place as the CRM giant’s largest customer event outside of Dreamforce.

As expected, sales enablement was a running theme throughout the agenda, which featured keynotes from Dr Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, Anne-Marrie Imafidon, co-founder of STEMette and olympian Chris Hoy. Discussions around IoT, wearables and artificial intelligence also featured heavily in the various presentations from Salesforce evangelists and customers.

To coincide with the event, Salesforce announced a significant investment in the UK economy with increased space at London’s Salesforce Tower and an $100 million commitment to invest in European startups to fuel cloud innovation and customer success in the region.

“Salesforce is seeing phenomenal momentum in the UK and we are excited to increase our investment in this region to support our growing customer base as well as our thriving partner ecosystem,” said Andrew Lawson, UK & I, Managing Director, Salesforce. “It’s an incredible time for us to be working with some of the UK’s best-loved brands, as well as many of its innovative startup companies—helping to drive the digital transformation that will propel the UK economy forward.”

The jam-packed exhibition hall featured a wide-range of partners and tenants of the Salesforce App Exchange ecosystem, which now has over 3 million installs. We spoke exclusively to Neeracha Taychakhoonavudh, SVP of Partner Programs at Salesforce, to find out more about the show and the secret behind the phenomenal success of the partner program and AppExchange.
